I’m a sucker for sapsuckers. We found at least two families of Red-breasted Sapsuckers in the park. Some of the adults were drumming as well as feeding their young.
Three family members on a utility pole.
Western Wood-Pewee, one of many we saw.
Steller’s Jay taking his bath.
The puddle at Moore Park was a mini-waterhole. The birds from all over the park had gathered for a bath or a wade.
One young Black-Headed Grosbeak. Two young Purple Finches.
A lot of gulls in the lot.
Ring-billed Gull studying his options.
Seen along Shoreline Road west of Klamath Falls.

One of the three mature Bald Eagles we saw. This one was along State Route 140 north of Eagle Ridge Road.
One of the few wildflowers still in bloom at Moore Park, elevation around 4000 ft.
