NPR had an entire radio show dedicated to birds this evening. Amazing. Tom Ashbrook asked many of the doltish questions you expect from a big-city condo dweller who owns no binocs. But his British interviewee was very good. Birds smelling the tiny gas bubbles released by plankton as they are eaten by fish. Birds using magnetic poles in migration. Birds as natural wonders. Here’s the link to the show if you missed it.
