Christmas Day the otherwise quiet Oak KNoll Golf Course on Hwy 66 was crowded with grazing geese, an ordinary-enough sight. But among them was a shrimpy little goose with a PALE chest.

Upon study and puzzlement I believe this to be a Richardson sub-species individual of the Canada goose persuasion, not a Cackling Goose. If it is a Richardson, the goose breeds in north central Canada and should be wintering along the lower Mississippi River.
