Susan was one of the 130 birders who attended our first Mountain Bird Festival here in Ashland. The festival was organized by Klamath Bird Observatory which does scientific avian population and habitat research in northern California and southwestern Oregon. Here are some of Susan’s best shots from her field trips:American White Pelican.
Double-crested Cormorant on nest tree at Hyatt Lake.
Great Gray Owl hunting in meadow along Keno Access Road.
Green-tailed Towhee, also along Keno Access Road.
MacGillvray’s Warbler male, a very hard bird to get in front of the camera. Wow!
