HILL AND RIDGE: DUCK COUNTRY

Up Fox Ridge Road to the water-filled old quarry.  Up Pheasant Hill Road to the large farm pond.  Duck hunting.  Among those I found, my first Canvasback in Yamhill County.  County lifer #122.  It was among the many Ring-necked Ducks and dabblers on the Pheasant Hill farm pond.

Rain and dreary dark skies made for impossible lighting so no images today.

  1. You are my favorite, and only, duck hunter! You are missing it down here. Rain, yes, but the wind is atrocious – 40-60mph gusts through this valley all night and today. I was awakened at 3 am and never went back to sleep. m a
