RAPTORS ‘ROUND TOWN

I should have gotten the message.  Early today there was a Kestrel dining on long-tailed rodent on the wires just above the entrance to the McMinnville Recycling Center.  Along Shelton Road in north Yamhill County I ticked a Kestrel pair, Red-tail, chased by Peregrine and then an adult Bald Eagle flew in and landed.  Took about five minutes of birding.  A couple days ago I had a male Harrier in that same area.bee Just before he decides to chase off the Red-tail perched about fifty feet away. per1 per2After one final attack the Peregrine speeds on past the slogging Red-tail.
