HAGG LAKE: DUCKS & GULLS

It was raining lightly at Hagg Lake in Washington County mid-day, but the ducks and gulls didn’t mind.  Just another day at the muddy beach.

There were right species of ducks and six gulls. Ebird was surprised when I reported four Eared Grebes.  My surprise came at the handful of Surf Scoters and a lone Bonaparte’s Gull, picking food bits from the grass along the shore, accompanied by a Killdeer.
