SPRINGING INTO ACTION

SUNDAY, APRIL 9   SPRING: THIS MEANS WAR

The hormone levels are now high in the bird world, imagine a cabinet meeting in Trumpian times.  Today I saw a White-crowned Sparrow chasing a Junco.  That aggressive sparrow doesn’t even live here, he’d just stopped by for a snack.  There was a pair of scrub-jays noisily airing their mutual disdain in our garden. So it goes in spring, from Taliban to trogon, this means war!  I‘m thankful for the pair of Bushtits and the pair of chickadees, calmly coupled and just minding their business until egg time.AMROBFemale Anna’s:ANNA1Anna2anna3anna5
