FLY BY NIGHT

Our neighbor’s bats were leaving their roost around 910PM this evening and I was there to witness. Hard to get decent shots without a tripod and I am afraid if I set up my camera in an obvious way the home owners will panic and the bats will be in trouble. So this is all hand-held and a bit wobbly…not the bats fault, though they are quick once they launch into the night. Not many property owners are comfortable with bats in their belfry.BAT HOLE2BAT FACE1BAT FACE2BAT FACE3BAT LVBAT WING2BATWINGBAT BLURBAT BLUR2
The swifts were also out feeding at the same time…one species finishing the day, one just starting the night shift.
